Welcome to the CVU Rowing Team
The Coaches Linda Burden and Helen MacAndrews want to Welcome you to the Rowing Team
From Helen MacAndrews and Linda Burden: The Rowing Club ended its fall season with the Icebreaker Race in Boston. The Icebreaker is the Northeast Regional Youth Open Water Rowing Championship held in Boston's Fort Point Channel. CVU competed against teams from BHS, SBHS, Vergennes, Boston, New York City, Connecticut and Maine. Our crews finished 3rd and 4th in the sprint competition and 4th and 6th in the Nautical Mile. For many students, it was their first season with the Rowing Club and proudly represented CVU with grit, determination and poise in the face of adversity. When faced with challenging situations, these rowers dug deep and held their heads high, demonstrating an inner strength we can all be proud of. Congratulations to them all! The CVU Rowing Club is funded, in part, through a grant provided to the Maritime Museum by SCHIP, Inc which runs the SCHIP Treasure Resale shop in Shelburne. We are incredibly thankful for the support of our community in providing this opportunity for CVU students.
